Samsung has made its new foldable smartphones – the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 – official. These shiny new toys represent huge strides in design and major breakthroughs in technology. Going back to user feedback again, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 introduces a lot more thinness and lightness with its design. At the same time, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 wows with an enhanced cover screen and exciting new software experiences.
Compare that to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, which starts at $1,999. Order one in blue, black or silver today! One of the biggest places to see improvement is the overall thickness, with the device only 8.9mm thick when folded. When you unfold the Galaxy Z Fold 7, it’s virtually uninterrupted. It’s almost as thick as the USB-C port at the bottom of the device. This invention is so much thinner and lighter than the last generation, the Galaxy Z Fold 6. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 started at $1,899.
"oh, this is how this phone is supposed to feel" - Allison Johnson (The Verge)
Incredible 8-inch inner screen. That’s just the exterior. That’s rounded out with a 10-megapixel sensor for the internal selfie camera, which is neatly hidden under a hole-punch cutout. Even with this complete redesign, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 still lacks proper S Pen support. The water and dust resistance is rated at IP48.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 adds the proper edge-to-edge cover screen we all deserve, making it far more usable and beautiful. We didn’t define the size of the cover panel too strictly. It features a size of 6.5 inches, which is quite stunning with a resolution of 2520 x 1080p. We get the same IP48 rating for water and dust resistance as the Z Flip 7.
The Galaxy Z Flip 7 becomes even better with DeX support, which adds to the phone’s versatility. Users can now jump straight into their Gemini Assistant right from the cover screen, adding even more versatility. For consumers looking for a less expensive solution, Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE ($899).
